Well, Our Man ain't flogging no how-to-write book. But he was asked to recommend some useful advice on how to write a novel. The best advice, Our Man has learnt, is to just bloody well write and stop reading fuckwits trying to sell you their book about how they sold you their book. (As featured on twitter).
All that said, Our Man was asked by a writing damsel in distress for his advice on where to get some good writing advice. So here are three links that have helped Our Man:
1. How to write a novel in 100 days (excellent, practical advice on writing and not too much of it. Though the publishing stuff is way out of date).
2. The Passive Voice (excellent stuff and links to all aspects of publishing and self-publishing and writing too)
3. Terrible Minds (Yeah, his comical swearing gets a bit laboured at times, and yeah, his main published works are how to write books, but... his free advice is solid.)
Or save yourself some time and just follow these seven points from Kurt Vonnegut. And Our Man didn't even charge you $0.99.
Pic lifted from here (where there's even more bloody advice).
