So, the Great Murdoch Purge begins. Out go links to The Sun and The Times and (sadly) Asia Exile, oh and the Financial Times, New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. OK, so Our Man never linked to the WSJ, but it's the principle, dammit (meaningless gesture, you mean - Ed.)
In case you are a bit lost, Our Man has decided that if Murdoch wants to start charging for access to his news websites, Our Man will stop linking to them for free
Wanna join in too? Just don't link to any of the above for starters...

I would join, really. It's just that, to boycott any of his papers I would have to start reading them first, and I really, really don't want to have to do that.
Can't I just, say, stop poking myself in the eye with a cocktail fork? That should effectively be about the same thing.

Please stop poking yourself in the eye with a fork. We need our erudite robotics experts with a dedication to photography and numeracy in full possession of all their faculties.

I am confused. Does News Corp. own the Financial Times?
Isn't Financial Times part of Pearson?
I would love to boycott the WSJ, but since I canceled my subscription to them a few years ago, I cannot access a single page of the WSJ or Market Watch or anything connected to the Journal on my or my wife's computer. A shame really, as I used to love that paper before Murdock took over.
Oh, and whether or not the FT is owned by Murdock, I think it is worth boycotting because Tyler Brûlé writes his silly Japan-related columns for it...but that's another issue.
Sorry, might very well be wrong about the FT, but they won't let Our Man look at more than five stories in a week or so before asking for cash, so they might as well be in with the Mr. M.
And yes, Tyler whatsit is not Our Man's cup of tea at all.
