One is the Magic Kingdom, the other is the suburban wasteland setting for The Office. Got a lot in common, huh? Now they do. They are twinned.
So, it can only be a matter of time before we get a twinning deal for Abiko and Beverly Hills. Think of all the junket free trips the local pols could swing. Hmmmm. Come on fellow bloggers,
Let's get Abiko 90210 on the map!
Secret handshake to Our Man in Okinawa.
Oh, sorry, nearly forgot the point of this post (?) was to advertise the incoming list on the left there that features all Our Man's interesting discoveries. Of which the Swindon Twinning was one.
As you were.

I was in Jimbocho last night for what the locals call a Boneyguy party or something like that. As I trying to get to the Mita line to go home, I saw that some other line---I forget which---was headed to Abiko. So I must assume that Abiko really exists. Does that mean that Our Man really exits too?
That would be the mighty Joban Line. Abiko is no figment of imagination. And Our Man exits with the best of them. Hope this helps. :)
Hello, OMIA again. Jimbocho? Not the second-hand book capital of Japan? Used to frequent the place 12 years ago between Berlitz lessons. Now they have a big Gibson store too. Man you is livin the hi life.
swindon is a shithole.
glad to help shed light on the big issues of the day.
@D: "Abiko" is the Japanese for "sign out of order".
I thought the Office was set in Slough?
